Who is Iain Moran?

Iain Moran has been a magician for more than twenty years. He is not just someone who does tricks; he is a magician who creates astonishing, phenomenal magic and has won many awards for it.

As well as performing at corporate events for clients such as Manchester United, the BBC, Granada Television, Shell, Sharp Electronics, Airmiles and the National Health Service, Iain brings magic to private parties up and down the country and occasionally abroad.

The Magic Circle

Iain is a member of the world-famous élite magicians’ club The Magic Circle. In fact, he is an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle with Silver Star, which means he has had a promotion or two within The Magic Circle.

Iain is a regular performer at Meet The Magic Circle evenings, where groups of the public are treated to close-up magic and a stage show at Magic Circle headquarters in London.

Teaching Magic

Iain is a popular and successful teacher of magic. He is the star of two bestselling DVDs teaching card magic to magicians and he regularly lectures to magic societies, both in the UK and abroad, on card magic and other magic techniques.

He also has several ongoing private students and gives ad hoc workshops on magical card handling.

One of Iain’s best known (and best!) students was the cricketing legend Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff. Iain was on Sky television in 2007, teaching magic tricks to Freddie. The cricketer did a remarkably good job of mastering the required skills in the time available and said he very much enjoyed the experience.

Magic Shows

A few times a year, in the gaps between party, wedding and corporate engagements, Iain puts on a magic show in theatres and other venues around the country. Personally

As a person, Iain is gentle and easy-going, mixing well with people of all ages and from all walks of life. You can rely on his sensitivity and discretion – he will never interrupt an important conversation or do any magic that could possibly embarrass or offend anyone. Unlike a lot of magicians, Iain always treats the spectators with respect and would never consider making a joke at their expense or humiliating anyone with his magic.

Based in Manchester, Iain is happy to travel anywhere in the world to bring magic to your party. Distance is no object; travelling gives him time to catch up on his reading and/or sleep.
