Party Magic
It’s becoming more and more popular
and fashionable to hire a magician for your party. Whatever
sort of party you’re having, magic will make it special
and even more memorable.
Why is it such a great idea to have magic at your party?
• Magic is a fantastic ice-breaker
and gives people something to focus on if they’re not
yet feeling very confident in the group.
• Magic gets everyone involved; nobody is left out.
• Sharing a moment of astonishment is a bonding experience.
• Magic makes us feel like children again, which in
turn makes us more likely to enjoy the party.
• Magic makes a change from music and gives those who
don’t dance some cool entertainment.
As a highly skilled and experienced magician,
Iain Moran is someone you can trust to do an excellent, professional
job of entertaining the guests at your party.
What sort of magic is suitable for parties?
Close-up Magic
Most
commonly, people want close-up magic,
ie magic performed for just two or three people at a time.
If the guests are standing about, Iain will stroll among them,
creating magic for small groups so that everyone can experience
magic just a metre or two from their face. If your guests
are seated - for example, at a dinner party – Iain will
move around the table(s) and, again, show magic to a few people
at a time. He carries everything he needs in his pockets,
so magic can happen even in a small space.
Iain is careful not to interrupt important
or emotional conversations or to do magic while people are
eating.
Cabaret Magic
Unless you live in a castle or have hired
a theatre for your party, it’s unlikely that stage magic
or big, cutting-people-in-half illusions will be suitable
for your occasion. However, if you would like a show, which
everyone stops partying and gathers to watch, you can have
one.
Iain is happy to perform for as many people
as can fit into the room and be comfortably able to see (usually
between 30 and 50). In this context, he creates magic on a
larger scale than close-up, though there is still a great
deal of audience participation. This is type of magic, on
a medium scale, is called cabaret magic.
What sort of parties are suitable for magic?
All of them! Iain performs mainly at 30th
birthday parties, 40th
birthday parties, 50th birthday parties, Christmas parties,
engagement parties, wedding
parties and wedding
anniversary parties but he has also brought magic to housewarming
parties, graduation parties, goodbye/leaving parties, retirement
parties, Hallowe’en parties and parties thrown just
for the fun of it.
Hire Iain Moran as your party
magician and become known as an excellent host(ess).
